YouTube Founder Susan Wojcicki Dies; Neal Mohan Leads on

Former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki passed away on Friday, less than a year after stepping down from her role. The tech industry is mourning the loss of a pioneering figure who played a pivotal role in shaping the world's largest video-sharing platform.

Wojcicki joined Google in 1999 and was instrumental in the company's early days. She became YouTube CEO in 2014 and oversaw the platform's explosive growth. Following her departure in February 2023, Neal Mohan was appointed as her successor.

Mohan, a seasoned tech executive, has since taken the reins at YouTube. He expressed deep sorrow at Wojcicki's passing, calling her a mentor and friend.

Before ascending to the top job at YouTube, Mohan had a successful career in the tech industry. Born in Indiana and raised partly in India, he holds degrees from Stanford University. His journey from India to becoming the CEO of one of the world's most influential platforms is a testament to his resilience and ambition.
